As the contradiction between resource scarcity and rising demand intensifies, countries are increasing policy and technological investments in this sector to advance the green economy. Japan, a key hub for recycled resources in Asia, possesses advanced technologies (such as aluminum dross processing) and closed-loop recycling models, and plans to expand its e-waste recycling capacity. However, its domestic capacity for recycled aluminum is limited, necessitating the expansion of overseas markets; recycled copper production capacity is also expanding concurrently. Trade issues between China and the United States have further underscored the necessity of supply chain stability.
Against this backdrop, the Third Global Recycled Metal Industry Chain Summit will convene in Osaka, Japan, on May 25-26, 2026, under the theme “Low-Carbon Voice, Global Resonance.”
