【SMM News Flash】 US issues PJM emergency order effective October 13–16

分享October 12, the US Department of Energy issued emergency Order No. 202-26-50 to PJM under Section 202(c) of the Federal Power Act. It directs PJM to dispatch specified units and order their operation as needed for reliability. The order is effective October 13–16, 2026.
PJM may also activate backup generation as a last resort before declaring an Energy Emergency Alert Level 3 or during such an alert. It may call on transmission owners and distribution companies to implement the order. PJM submit
